The Geography of Somebody: At the Kitchen Party

The Geography of Somebody: At the Kitchen Party

To follow up on last time, not every place needs to be beautiful to be important.  Some places matter simply because they help people find one another.

This picture was inspired by Ray & Helene’s parties in North Cambridge from a long time ago.  Even though it depicts only a few people, I was surprised at how many interactions and relationships showed up in the painting.

In a world that can feel ever more impersonal, we should ensure we have enough places like this to just hang out together.

They can be an awful lot of fun.
