02 May Ah, Spring!
It would be hard to imagine a winter milder than the one we just had. So one would think the transition to spring would be an anticlimax.
But no. It’s been a spectacular spring. The forsythia were practically aglow this year. The blossoms on the flowering cherries and apples were abundant. Our cherry blossoms lasted two weeks!
And, despite all of the woes and uncertainties in the world, people and places seem to be responding in a similar way. Our hometown is bursting forth in all of its “New Paltz-ness.” (Click on the image to enlarge.)
In that spirit, a special thanks to all of you who attended and/or otherwise supported the open studio last weekend. Thanks to Main Course for providing refreshments, and to the many merchants who agreed to display the postcard announcing the event. We got to see old friends, meet new ones and sold 5 paintings to boot!
Some other fun stuff is in the pipeline thanks to the general hobnobbing during those two days. Stay tuned!
. . . and get outside!
