A Change in the Weather

During a recent walk in Minnewaska, we felt the first indications that the seasons were changing. This image attempts to capture that experience.

 

The fact that we never want the dark, cold days to come, and that they always do, is a reminder that this world is controlled by forces far beyond us.

 

At the same time, Fall can also remind us of our greatest solace in the face of this daunting circumstance: acts of love and kindness and encounters with beauty. An idea that might be worth keeping in mind for the days ahead.
